Our client is currently seeking an experienced Highways Inspector to join their team on a short-term secondment. This role is critical in ensuring statutory duties are met by carrying out routine inspections and responding promptly to reported issues across the borough.
Key Responsibilities:- Complete routine inspections of highways, footways, street furniture, and other highway assets at required intervals.
- Identify and report defects or issues, ensuring timely resolution.
- Attend sites to assess reported faults on council-managed and privately-owned assets.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on highways and street works to colleagues, supporting risk identification and decision-making.
- Experience in a similar role with the ability to hit the ground running.
- Strong understanding of the New Roads and Street Works Act (NRSWA).
- Proficiency in using Confirm software.
- Proactive, independent decision-maker who requires minimal training.
- Contract Type: 3-Month Secondment
- Working Pattern:
Shift-based (07:00 - 15:30 and 09:30 - 18:00) - Location:
Central London
