Clinical Scientist – Clinical Immunology
We are seeking a Clinical Scientist in Clinical Immunology to join our team. Join us at Synnovis Hub, a modern automated laboratory with UKAS accreditation performing approximately 20,000 tests per month.
Training is fully supported and flexible working patterns are considered. The successful candidate will be based at the Synnovis Hub at Blackfriars and will occasionally work at King’s College Hospital at Denmark Hill.
Responsibilities- Assist with the organisation, provision and development of the Clinical Immunology service.
- Interpret and report results, provide clinical advice, and support the comprehensive scientific and clinical advisory service.
- Involved in R&D and development of new assays, ensuring the test repertoire reflects cutting‑edge diagnostic developments.
- Play a senior role in adhering to quality standards, participating in audits and maintaining a culture of continuous improvement.
- Provide teaching and training support within the department.
- Strong immunology background and experience in clinical immunology.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret complex laboratory data and provide clinical advice.
- Experience in assay development, research and development, or similar scientific roles.
- Commitment to quality and continuous improvement, including audit participation.
- Desirable: experience in teaching and training.
- Full support for learning opportunities through the ACCE competencies programme, the Scientific Learning and Development Fund and the Synnovis Academy.
- Funding for advanced qualifications and further training towards FRCPath.
- Access to the Innovation Accelerator Fund for innovative scientific projects.
