We are looking for a BSc Industrial Placement Student to join our Immunogenetics team.

Title: BSc Industrial Placement Student

Salary: £25,963 per annum

Contract: 13-month fixed term, from July 2026

Hours: 35 per week (standard Anthony Nolan working hours)

Location: Fully site-based – Anthony Nolan Research Institute, Hampstead, London

• Contribution to a long-running UK-wide research project investigating genetic and clinical factors affecting stem cell transplant outcomes.
• Assist with preparation, distribution and receipt of blood and cheek swab sample collection packs.
• Responsibility for the daily collection, sterile separation of lymphocytes and the appropriate storage of these samples.
• Enter and maintain accurate clinical data on our database. Ensuring that all material (biological, clinical and data) is collected, processed, stored and maintained according to current ethical and laboratory guidelines.
• Extract DNA from samples, perform quality assessments, and prepare them for future use.
