A self-starting, results-oriented Business Development Manager, adept at driving growth, revenue, and profit through a consultative approach. The role requires strong skills in nurturing and developing client relationships within an existing portfolio while identifying and securing significant new business opportunities. The successful candidate will anticipate and respond to customer needs, offering complete site solutions and services.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement strategies to acquire new business.
- Manage and grow relationships with key portfolio customers at regional and national levels.
- Drive regional revenue in collaboration with the wider sales team and major account development.
- Proactively identify target market sectors and contractors aligned with the company’s service offerings.
- Research and identify new market opportunities and potential clients.
- Secure and drive new business opportunities with both new and existing customers.
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with the existing customer base.
- Introduce and upsell new and existing products or services.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing with clients.
- Accountability for revenue growth within the assigned region.
- Effective management and control of debt within the portfolio.
- Maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities.
- Open new leads/accounts and expand the portfolio.
- Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth from both existing and new business.
- Experience as an external salesperson within the hire or related industry
- Strong organisational skills, time management, and attention to detail.
- Ability to sell ideas, products, and services effectively.
- Strategic and creative thinking.
- Technical understanding to propose appropriate solutions based on client requirements.
- Solid IT skills and proficiency in necessary software packages.
- Strong understanding of business and marketing principles.
