Paramount Brokerage Services (PBS) provides a comprehensive range of broking services across the energy and commodities market, specifically covering of OTC and exchange‑listed futures across oil, gas and metals.
Job DescriptionAs a trainee broker, your role will focus on maintaining up-to-date trade records, providing exceptional pricing and broking services to clients, and contributing to business development within the energy and commodities sector. You will play a key part in ensuring smooth operations and client satisfaction while adhering to the company’s policies and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities1.
Client Support & Reporting:
- Update Excel spreadsheets and prepare detailed reports for clients.
- Provide accurate pricing and broking services to clients, ensuring clarity and professionalism.
- Input trades into clearing exchanges accurately and in a timely manner
2.
Trade & Record Management:
- Compile, organise, and maintain accurate and up-to-date trade records in accordance with company standards.
3.
Market & Product Knowledge:
- Maintain a deep understanding of energy and commodity markets, including oil, gas, and metals.
- Continuously monitor and update knowledge on market trends and product developments to provide valuable insights.
4.
Business Development:
- Drive business growth within the energy and commodities market by building new client relationships.
- Assist in the onboarding process for new clients and ensure their seamless integration into PBS’s services.
- Identify and pursue internal cross‑selling opportunities by understanding clients’ needs
5.
Client Relationship Management:
- Interact closely with clients to develop long‑term, collaborative relationships.
- Ensure client satisfaction by resolving queries and addressing any concerns promptly.
6.
Compliance and
Risk Management:
- Adhere to the company's governance, risk, and compliance policies.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements specific to the energy and commodities markets.
1.
Education:
Candidates must have qualifications in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
2.
Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with strong spreadsheet management skills.
- Strong analytical abilities with a keen problem‑solving mindset.
- Fast learner with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to handle stressful situations and work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to work independently while also being a collaborative team player.
- Constructive approach to handling disagreements and reaching resolutions.
- Fluent in English.
- Knowledge of Mandarin or additional languages is a plus.

Experience:
Fresh graduates are welcome to apply, though prior sales experience is preferred.
