We're looking for a commercially driven leader to accelerate Piper-Heidsieck's growth across the UK & Ireland. In this role, you'll shape and deliver the sales and marketing strategies that strengthen our market presence, support the Business Development Manager to maximise field execution and commercial opportunities and work closely with the Head of Champagne on high-impact commercial and strategic initiatives. This is a rare opportunity to champion one of the world's most celebrated Champagne houses and drive its next phase of growth across these key markets.

Role

Responsibilities Commercial Strategy
  • Develop and execute the commercial strategy across on- and off-trade.
  • Build channel and customer plans in partnership with National Accounts & Regional Sales teams.
  • Shape pricing, forecasting, margin planning and distribution priorities.
  • Analyse brand performance, market trends, competitor activity, and commercial KPIs
  • Support the preparation and presentation of major tenders and represent the brand in key customer meetings.
Marketing & Activation
  • Translate global brand strategy into focused UK & Ireland plans with a strong commercial lens.
  • Lead product launches, PR, digital activity, and all brand communications.
  • Manage A&P budgets with clear accountability for ROI.
  • Deliver consumer and trade events, sponsor ships, and tastings.
  • Oversee POS, brand visibility, and in-market execution across key channels.
  • Maintain producer materials, including fact sheets, website updates, and technical content.
Sales Team Support
  • Create clear, high-impact sales tools, presentations, toolkits, and selling stories for sales teams.
  • Ensure sales teams understand brand priorities, commercial targets, and key performance measures.
  • Build customer-specific plans that drive distribution, visibility, and rate of sale.
  • Work closely with the Business Development Manager on market activity, tastings, and customer proposals.
  • Maintain consistent brand representation across all trade environments.
Reporting and Insights
  • Deliver monthly customer performance and market activity reports
  • Evaluate the effectiveness and ROI of marketing and commercial activities.
  • Oversee stock, forecasting, and planning to ensure alignment with business and customer needs.
Cross Functional Leadership
  • Work hand in hand with the Business Development Manager to maximise commercial impact.
  • Establish strong cross-functional collaboration between the Champagne Team, Marketing, Sales, and Communications.
  • Uphold execution standards and ensure consistent delivery across customer plans and market activity.
About You
  • Extensive experience in sales, customer marketing, brand management, or a commercial role.
  • Strong commercial acumen with a track record of driving sales and revenue growth.
  • Highly numerate with strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organised, able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of on-trade and off-trade market dynamics.
  • Experience managing suppliers and working with agencies.
  • Proficient in Microsoft tools, including Power BI, PowerPoint, and Excel (pivot tables, lookups).
  • Passion for wine; WSET or similar qualification is an advantage.
  • Fluent in English;
    French beneficial but not essential
