As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for selling subscriptions and other online advertising products. Your client base will range from small independent agents up to our largest and most sophisticated customers including global property owners and fund managers, global brokerage businesses, hedge funds, private equity firms, real estate investment trusts and family offices. You will focus predominantly on new business and grow revenue from accounts once you have won them.
You will inherit a limited number of existing clients from day one.
- Have a high level of integrity and manage, nurture & grow your existing client base.
- Take an entrepreneurial approach to sell, train and retain.
- Gain a thorough understanding of your clients and their needs through a consultative sales approach.
- Become an expert in Loop Net’s marketing solutions, the leading online commercial property marketplace in the UK.
- Own the full sales cycle: prospecting, demonstrating, closing, onboarding, training and renewing accounts.
- Conduct high‑level in‑person client and prospect product demonstrations.
- Provide valuable insight to surveyors, owners, investors, lenders, local authorities and service providers.
- Represent CoStar Group by hosting and attending industry events and networking with property professionals in your market.
- Demonstrate that you have maintained and grown clients over medium and long term, providing excellent service and comfortable with long sales cycles.
- Outstanding communication, presentation and objection handling skills with confidence and patience to make complex proposals.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work to metrics in an intelligent, effective manner.
- Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.
- Consultative selling style with account management techniques to grow accounts over time.
- Knowledge of commercial real estate or asset management is advantageous; alternatively a genuine interest in trends and market backdrop.
- Property portal or marketplace experience also advantageous.
- Ability to navigate a large organisation – identifying decision‑makers, influencers and blockers.
- Full driving licence.
