The Role

Market Axess’ Data Sales team is looking for a highly motivated person to join as a Senior Associate. Our clients are highly active on Market Axess applications every day and span organizational roles such as trading, portfolio management, sales, risk and technology. Market Axess’ bulk and desktop data solutions are a core revenue generator for our business and the goal in this role will be to develop client relationships, increase engagement with existing users, and ultimately close commercial business.

The ideal candidate will possess experience working with the Market Axess workstation and demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of how clients utilize the data and tools available within our platform. Senior Associates can expect to engage extensively with our Client Services and Integration teams. Additionally, the candidate should have a proven track record of building relationships and conducting demonstrations for both individuals and groups.

It is essential for the candidate to adapt to changing scenarios and demands, efficiently manage inbound sales and technical requests, proactively oversee a growing sales pipeline, and cultivate relationships with users at both buy‑side and sell‑side firms.

How You’ll Help Take Us There
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the market and Market Axess product suite, anticipate customer needs, and use discretion to advise customers
  • Maintain customer relationships and be the subject matter expert in relevant data products
  • Support incoming client inquiries and issues and flagging/assigning to the correct individual or team
  • Actively build a new business pipeline within the relevant product or region, call on customers and develop relationships at multiple levels across the customer organization
  • Be responsible for customer onboarding, relationship management, end‑user training, and the build out of new initiatives and customer messaging
  • Leverage customer and industry intel to effectively communicate product requirements to Product Specialists/Developers for system enhancements, functionality and usability
  • Analyze large sets of data to identify market trends, tradable patterns, and leading indicators to advise current and prospective customers
  • Mentor and be a role model to analysts and associates while demonstrating firm values
  • Meet the minimum of customer meetings during and after business hours and be able to entertain customers at various events
What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field
  • 4+ years of experience in financial services; sales or operations experience from a broker/dealer, or relevant experience working for a fixed income electronic trading venue
  • Knowledge of the Market Axess platform and product suite
  • Knowledge of Salesforce and an ability to run Salesforce reports on pipeline, product inventory, closed sales, etc.
  • Displays customer services skills and an ability to perform standard client service for data products
  • Interpersonal, communication and influencing skills (eg. negotiation, consultative skills)
  • Highly organized, detail‑oriented and proactive self‑starter, comfortable in a team environment
  • Ability to interact with and provide insight to ETF line‑traders and trading management
