Role OverviewAs a Junior Account Manager you will be responsible for looking after our existing customers throughout their subscription term. You will help secure subscription renewals—our key revenue driver—by ensuring customers gain maximum value from our product. This involves user onboarding, product training, relationship building and ad‑hoc customer support. Success is measured by the proportion of clients that renew annually and adopt additional services.
During the first three months you will receive on‑the‑job training to become proficient in our product, learn about the industry, and master our systems and processes. You will handle routine customer support tasks so that Key Account Managers can focus on more value‑added activities. After this period you will gradually take responsibility for your own accounts, primarily small and medium‑sized organisations, while continuing to support the team with customer queries.
Experience& Attributes Essential
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent vocational training
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- High energy and customer‑centric; you love being customer‑facing
- Resilient and calm under pressure
- Empathic, open to feedback and ambitious to continuously improve
- Interest in current affairs and/or public policy
- Previous experience in customer service, sales or account management
- Previous experience in start‑up businesses
- Proficiency in Excel and data savvy
- Comfortable on camera and experience of social selling
- Familiarity with Vitally (CS) software
The starting salary is £31,500 per annum, with an annual review in December and every 12 months thereafter. After three months you will be eligible for variable commission based on team results, allowing you to share in the added‑value you contribute.

We understand that people want to stay fresh and motivated. Mastery of the role typically takes around two years. After that, career development at Tussell could take many forms: greater autonomy in your current role, management responsibility within your team, or a move to a different team such as New Business Sales, Marketing or Product.
