The Role

As a Business Development Representative at Tangent, you will be at the front line of our growth. You will introduce Tangent to employers, founders, and sales leaders, helping them discover a better way to hire early talent.

This is an ideal role if you are starting your sales career, moving into tech sales, or looking for a high-impact role in a growing startup.

What You Will Do
  • Research and identify potential employer partners

  • Reach out to prospects via email, Linked In, and calls

  • Book qualified meetings for the senior sales team

  • Clearly explain Tangent’s value to employers

  • Keep CRM data accurate and up to date

  • Learn and apply modern outbound sales techniques

  • Collaborate closely with marketing and product teams

What We Are Looking For
  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal

  • Confidence speaking with professionals and decision-makers

  • Curiosity, resilience, and a willingness to learn

  • Organised approach to managing leads and follow-ups

  • Interest in sales, startups, or recruitment

  • No prior sales experience required, just the right attitude

Nice to Have
  • Experience in sales, recruitment, or customer-facing roles

  • Familiarity with Linked In, CRM tools, or outbound prospecting

  • Passion for helping people progress in their careers
