Advertising Sales Manager – B2B Publishing

📍 South London (hybrid options considered) | Full-time

A well-established B2B media company is seeking an ambitious and confident Advertising Sales Manager to lead commercial growth across two niche, international publications. This is a rare opportunity to take on an existing portfolio of respected trade titles while shaping your  success through new business and relationship-building.

The role would suit a junior to mid-level salesperson looking to step up, with proven experience in print or digital ad sales, strong new business instincts, and a proactive, entrepreneurial mindset. You’ll work across both.scalajs and digital channels, speaking to clients worldwide and attending key industry trade shows in Europe and beyond.

What you’ll be doing :
  • Selling display advertising (print and digital) to new and existing clients
  • Developing long-term relationships with key advertisers and partners
  • Managing your own prospecting, sales pipeline, and day‑to‑day outreach
  • Collaborating with editorial to identify commercial opportunities
  • Attending trade events to represent the brand and grow the client base
  • Producing tailored sales proposals and marketing solutions
  • Monitoring competitors and contributing to brand promotion strategy
  • Reporting directly to the Managing Director

  • Strong new business development skills with a tenacious, target‑driven approach
  • Proven experience in advertising sales, ideally in B2B publishing
  • A confident communicator with excellent phone and presentation skills
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to own and grow accounts
  • Familiarity with both print and digital media sales channels
  • Organised, self‑motivated and comfortable managing workload independently
  • Minimum A‑Level education; degree preferred
  • Willingness to travel to trade shows in the UK and internationally
