As a Business Development Representative, you will be responsible for generating new business opportunities by identifying, engaging, and qualifying potential customers. This role is ideal for someone looking to launch a career in tech sales and progress toward an Account Executive position and beyond. In addition to prospecting responsibilities, you will support Account Executives with key administrative, documentation, and handoff activities, and you may close smaller or fast‑cycle deals over the phone when appropriate.
Responsibilities- Prospect & generate leads: research and identify potential customers using Linked In, CRM tools, and other resources
- Outbound outreach: engage prospects through cold calling, personalized email campaigns, and social media outreach
- Qualify leads: understand prospect needs, pain points, and readiness to explore INFINIT’s SaaS solution
- Schedule meetings & demos: work closely with Account Executives to book qualified appointments and ensure smooth handoff
- Support Account Executives: assist with administrative tasks, preparation of documentation, and follow‑up materials to help advance deals
- Close deals when possible: manage and close smaller or shorter sales cycle opportunities directly over the phone when aligned with sales strategy
- Maintain CRM accuracy: log all outreach activity, conversations, and outcomes clearly and consistently
- Stay product‑informed: maintain strong knowledge of our platform and industry trends to articulate value with confidence
- Collaborate cross‑functionally: partner with Marketing and Sales to refine outreach messaging, improve lead quality, and share insights
- Contribute to team strategy: participate in team meetings, offering insights from your pipeline and prospecting efforts
- 1+ years in telesales, sales, business development, or another customer‑facing role (SaaS is a plus). Proven performance in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with a confident phone presence. A goal‑driven, competitive, and self‑motivated attitude
- Resilience and the ability to handle rejection while remaining proactive
- Familiarity with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Hub Spot) and sales engagement tools
- Excellent time‑management and workflow‑planning abilities
