The Greek Deli is a fast‑growing business supplying premium Greek food products to retailers, delicatessens, restaurants, and the wider food service industry. We seek a commercial, growth‑focused leader to expand our brand and footprint.
RoleAs Sales Manager you will increase market presence and drive sales across multiple channels: independent and national retailers; delicatessens and speciality shops; restaurants, cafés and catering businesses; food service providers and distributors; the wider food manufacturing and food industry sector. Your primary focus will be to identify, develop and win new opportunities and nurture lasting relationships.
Key Responsibilities- Generate new business across all food sector channels.
- Build, develop and maintain a strong pipeline of prospects.
- Conduct face‑to‑face and virtual sales meetings, product introductions and presentations.
- Understand customer needs and recommend suitable product solutions.
- Negotiate pricing, terms and agreements to maximise profitability.
- Maintain regular contact to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business.
- Represent The Greek Deli at trade shows, food festivals and industry events.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity and emerging opportunities.
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth order processing and customer service.
- Minimum 2 years proven sales experience in food and drink sector (retail, food service, wholesale or similar).
- Strong network or understanding of the UK food market highly desirable.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
- Highly organised with a proactive, goal‑driven attitude.
- Strong business development mindset to win and grow accounts.
- Self‑motivated, confident and capable of working independently.
- Genuine interest in high‑quality food products an advantage.
- £16 per hour.
- 5 % commission on all sales value.
