As our Automotive Sales Consultant, you will be launching and scaling our new dealer acquisition program a critical growth area for the business.

Location:

London Waterloo, hybrid working applies with 3 days in the office and 2 days at home.

About

The Role

As an Automotive Sales Consultant, you will be the face of Gumtree’s dealer network and a true market expert. You will take ownership of the full sales cycle, from proactively identifying and contacting independent and small-to-medium car dealerships across the UK, to closing deals and ensuring successful onboarding. You will use your consultative selling expertise to develop a deep understanding of each dealer's unique business needs, demonstrating how Gumtree’s powerful advertising solutions can drive vehicle sales and deliver a strong return on investment.

You will be a vital link, providing crucial market feedback to help shape our product development and refine the sales strategy.

What We’re Looking For
  • You’ll have a proven track record in B2B sales, specifically identifying and qualifying new business opportunities within the automotive sector.
  • A deep understanding of the UK automotive industry, including the operational needs, challenges, and goals of car dealerships.
  • You are a resilient, proactive, and results-driven self-starter who thrives in a dynamic, target-oriented environment.
  • You excel at communication and negotiation, with the ability to build rapport and trust quickly with key decision-makers.
  • You’ll have previous experience with CRM Software (e.g., Salesforce) and be comfortable interpreting performance data to diagnose customer issues.
  • Previous experience selling digital advertising, SaaS, or classified listings products would be a bonus.
