Area Manager, Retail Retail & Store Manager

The Advocate Group have partnered with a premium heritage retail brand to appoint an experienced Area Manager to oversee a portfolio of stores across London. This is a high-impact leadership role within a brand renowned for craftsmanship, quality, and an exceptional customer experience.

As Area Manager, you will be responsible for driving commercial performance, brand standards, and people development across your region. You will act as a key ambassador for the brand, ensuring its heritage values are consistently delivered while supporting sustainable growth in a highly competitive retail environment.

• Lead, coach, and develop Store Managers and senior retail leaders across the region
• Deliver sales, profitability, and KPI targets while maintaining premium brand standards
• Ensure an outstanding, service-led customer experience in every store
• Drive talent development, succession planning, and high engagement levels
• Maintain visual merchandising, operational excellence, and compliance standards
• Analyse commercial performance and implement effective action plans
• Work collaboratively with head office functions to execute brand and business strategy

• Proven experience as an Area Manager (or equivalent multi-site role) within premium, luxury, or heritage retail
• Strong commercial acumen with a track record of delivering results
• Inspirational leader with a hands‑on, coaching‑led management style
• Deep understanding of customer experience within a premium retail context
• Highly organised, resilient, and comfortable operating in a fast‑paced London market
• Passion for quality, craftsmanship, and brand storytelling
