V&C Associates have been retained on a truly unique opportunity for an experienced and visionary Head of Retail & Experiences to join one of the world’s leading entertainment companies — a global powerhouse that spans record labels, music publishing, merchandising, and creative content across 60+ countries, the retails outlets will include events together with a F&B outlet creating the ultimate go to destination.

This newly created role will be instrumental in building and scaling an immersive, start-up experiential retail concept that sits at the intersection of music, culture, and storytelling. As the brand expands its physical footprint across the UK, EMEA, and beyond, the successful candidate will be responsible for shaping every touchpoint of the retail experience — from concept to execution — bringing a premium, culturally led brand vision to life.

Entrepreneurial by nature, the Head of Retail & Experiences will combine strategic thinking with hands-on operational excellence, guiding this innovative retail venture from inception to international rollout.

Core Responsibilities Retail and Experience Strategy
  • Define and execute a global retail and experiential strategy aligned with the brand’s creative vision and commercial ambitions.
  • Build a scalable retail model that integrates immersive brand storytelling, interactive experiences, and music-led culture.
  • Drive commercial performance across multiple locations, owning P&L, KPIs, and budgeting for retail operations globally.
  • Develop retail roadmaps and new market entry strategies as part of an ambitious international growth plan.
  • Oversee all aspects of store operations, ensuring outstanding execution, service, and presentation.
  • Work with buying and merchandising on product developments
  • Create and refine best-in-class retail operating procedures, ensuring consistency and efficiency as the footprint scales.
  • Lead and manage store openings, pop-ups, refits, and new format launches, ensuring smooth deployment and global alignment.
  • Cultivate a culture of operational excellence, creativity, and accountability across all locations.
Customer Experience & Brand Engagement
  • Champion an elevated, boutique service approach that delivers a truly immersive customer journey.
  • Partner with creative and marketing teams to deliver innovative in-store activations, events, and collaborations that bring the brand’s music-driven DNA to life.
  • Oversee visual merchandising, storytelling, and campaign execution to ensure seamless integration between physical and digital touchpoints.
People & Culture
  • Build, inspire, and develop multi-disciplinary teams across retail, operations, and experiential disciplines.
  • Implement training and development frameworks to foster high performance and creative excellence.
  • Encourage an entrepreneurial, start-up mindset focused on agility, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Skills & Experience
  • Proven success in a senior retail, experiential, or brand leadership role — ideally within music, fashion, lifestyle, or culture-led environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to scale new retail concepts or creative experiences from start-up phase to international rollout.
  • Strong commercial acumen with a track record of achieving sales growth and profitability across multiple sites.
  • Deep understanding of store operations, experiential retail, and omnichannel integration.
  • Inspirational leader with experience managing cross-functional teams in dynamic, evolving settings.
  • Passionate about music, culture, and innovation, with the ability to translate big ideas into physical experiences.
  • Entrepreneurial, resourceful, and adaptable — thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
  • Exceptional communicator and collaborator, comfortable engaging with both creative and operational stakeholders.
