I am partnering with a well‑established Home & DIY retailer that is looking for an experienced Merchandiser to join its growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work across the categories of workshop, humidity and bathroom
, within a multi‑channel environment that includes both stores and online.
This role is ideal for someone who has strong commercial acumen, is confident with data, and thrives in a collaborative on site environment. The business is continuing to grow, with team expansion planned to grow to 7 Merchandisers, working alongside an Assistant Merchandiser and Trade Administrators.
Role:Merchandiser
Type:Full Time, Permanent
Location:Wimbledon (on site)
Salary:£50,000 - £55,000 + bonus, life assurance, pension, 26 days annual leave + bank holidays, staff disounts across the group of companies.
Key responsibilities for the Merchandiser will include and will not be limited to:- Managing financial performance, including budget, margin and profit across the workshop, humidity and bathroom categories.
- Reviewing daily sales and recommending promotions or markdowns to maximise profit and reduce clearance.
- Working closely with Buyers to plan ranges using sales data, trends and customer insight.
- Managing Open to Buy (OTB) to ensure optimal stock levels across both stores and online.
- Overseeing stock flow through Distribution Centres to maintain availability and reduce slow‑moving lines.
- Building strong, collaborative working relationships with suppliers.
- Working cross‑functionally with supply chain, distribution and retail operations teams.
- Supporting and developing junior members of the merchandising team.
- Taking full ownership of data and using insights to drive commercial decision‑making.
- Experience in merchandising across multiple retail channels, including stores and online (not online‑only).
- Strong commercial understanding and the ability to interpret and use data to drive profitable decisions.
- Demonstrated experience managing stock levels, OTB and availability.
- Resilient, analytical and confident in owning complex data sets.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple work streams.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across cross‑functional teams.
- Must be an experienced Merchandiser with non‑fashion merchandiser experience.
For the position of Merchandiser, candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK and be able to work on‑site 5 days a week.
