What’s the role about?

As our Retail Communications and Engagement Manager, you will lead the development and delivery of an engaging, clear and impactful retail communication strategy across multiple markets. Working as part of our Retail Operations team, you will ensure store teams receive the right information, at the right time, in the right way to drive awareness, engagement and strong in‑store execution.

Operating across international markets, the role partners closely with Retail Leadership, Operations, Marketing and Support Centre teams to shape how we communicate with stores. You will champion best practice, explore new tools and approaches, and ensure retail communications support both day‑to‑day operations and future business opportunities.

Who you are
  • A retail leader with experience delivering clear, engaging messages in a multi‑site or retail environment.
  • Confident working across international markets, with the ability to adapt tone and approach for different cultures and audiences.
  • A clear and credible communicator with excellent written and verbal skills and a strong eye for detail.
  • Commercially aware and passionate about retail, with a strong understanding of the realities of store environments.
  • An influential relationship‑builder, able to engage, challenge and align stakeholders at all levels.
  • Organised and agile, comfortable managing multiple priorities and working at pace to tight deadlines.
  • Insight‑led, able to assess effectiveness and use feedback and data to drive continuous improvement.
  • A collaborative leader who enjoys developing teams, coaching others and sharing expertise.
  • Proactive, solutions‑focused and open to innovation, with a strong interest in new technology and evolving ways of working.
What you’ll be doing
  • Lead the development and execution of the retail communication and engagement strategy across all markets, ensuring messages are clear, engaging and delivered right first time.
  • Provide leadership and support across Communication and Engagement, offering coaching and guidance to ensure consistent, high‑quality delivery.
  • As part of Retail Operations, partner with Marketing and wider stakeholders to plan, prioritise and deliver store communications aligned to business and cultural needs.
  • Own and continuously improve retail communication channels and platforms, ensuring the right mix of tools, formats and timing is used to maximise engagement and effectiveness.
  • Establish strong two‑way communication between stores and support functions, actively gathering feedback to influence decisions, improve execution and shape future activity.
  • Plan and manage communication critical paths, ensuring all activity is effectively scheduled, measurable and supported by clear SLAs, including translation where required.
  • Measure and monitor the effectiveness of communications, channels and messages, using insight and data to inform ongoing improvements to the strategy.
  • Act as a central point of contact for stores, field and support centre teams, supporting operational queries, communicating key programmes (including bonus and incentive schemes), and representing Retail Operations leadership when required.
