Casual Kitchen Porter

A independent day school for girls and part of a large group of schools. Set in the heart of gorgeous Notting Hill, London. Catering for about 565 students and teachers. We offer a core feeding of Lunch & mid morning snack. We also provide the catering for 2 other locations next door to this location. There will be some amount of hospitality offering at this location.

This is a term time only contract working 40 weeks a year. This school operates Monday to Friday.

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Casual Kitchen Porter to join our established & friendly team at our prestigious location in London.

You’ll be playing a big part in keeping the kitchen hygienic, safe, and up to our very high standards of cleanliness.

• Experience of pot wash duties would be an advantage
• Great team player
• Be able to help the Chefs with some food prep
• Ensure high standards of cleanliness at all times
• Clean and maintain all kitchen equipment
• Clean allocated pieces of heavy catering equipment using instructions and cleaning materials including air filter and extraction systems.
• Operate industrial dishwasher

We are looking for:

• Kitchen Porter experience is preferred, but not essential.
• Organisation Skills.
• Ability to demonstrate reasonable / good understanding and use of verbal English.
• Ability to demonstrate reasonable / good standard of written English and reading skills.
• Similar experience of customer and / or food preparation environment is preferred
