As a Demi Chef de Partie, you will support the kitchen operation by preparing, regenerating, and presenting high‑quality dishes in line with Meliá’s standards. You will contribute to delivering memorable dining experiences through creativity, consistency, and attention to detail, ensuring guest satisfaction at all times.
Key Responsibilities – Culinary Excellence- Prepare and present dishes according to established recipes and quality standards
- Ensure correct preparation and of sauces, garnishes, and accompaniments
- Store spices and preserves correctly in clean, dry, and covered containers
- Supervise and support Kitchen Assistants, ensuring efficiency and adherence to procedures
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene, safety, and cleanliness
- Communicate any operational issues promptly to the Sous Chef or Head Chef
- Comply with hotel policies on punctuality, appearance, health & safety, and discipline
- Attend departmental meetings and actively participate in training sessions
- Knowledge of food handling, hygiene, and food safety standards
- Experience working in a professional kitchen environment
- Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team
- Basic knowledge of kitchen management tools
- Passion for food, presentation, and continuous learning
- Eligibility to work in the UK is essential
