Barista

Oatley Coffee is an independent neighbourhood coffee shop located in Hampton. We are looking for a barista who is eager to join this crazy, fun journey with us!

• Understand how to make the perfect brew (and latte art, of course).
• Uphold specialty coffee standards.
• Maintain a clean, organised work space and perform basic cleaning tasks.
• Restock supplies and manage inventory.
• Be committed to creating meaningful connections with customers and colleagues.
• Keep things running smoothly in the shop.
• Have the ability to uphold great customer service so our customers continue to come back.
• Answer any questions customers may have and be knowledgeable on all retail products sold in the coffee shop.
• Be willing to learn and understand the point of sales system.

• Free coffee during shift (fair usage policy applies).
• Open Monday to Sunday.
• Work on a rota system and everyone does their equal share of opening (6:30am) and closing (17:30pm) shifts.

• Tips.

• Barista experience: 1 year (required).
• Hospitality: 1 year (preferred).
• Customer service: 1 year (preferred).
