We are currently recruiting for an experienced Cook for a residential setting to work for our client based in Islington.

• The cook will be required to prepare and cook meals for our residents on a daily basis.
• Make sure choice of meals are offered, including cultural and dietary meals.
• Be responsible for ordering food supplies, taking stock and ensuring their rotation.
• Will have overall responsibility for ensuring safe running of the kitchen and meeting all statutory organisational requirements (CQC & Environmental Health).
• At least 6 months experience of working in a residential kitchen setting for older people over the age of 65 years living with Dementia is desirable but not essential.

• Relevant cooking qualifications, including a minimum certificate on Food & Hygiene Level 2.
• Ability to maintain accurate records.
• Understanding of the dietary needs for older people.
• Knowledge of health & safety and cooking processes.
• Will attend training courses relevant to the role.
• Enhanced DBS check.

Working hours:

Monday to Friday, 10am-2pm.
