Line Chef

Querky Café is a busy, independent café known for high-quality food, strong coffee, and a fast-paced but friendly environment. We serve both in-house customers and high-volume delivery platforms (Uber Eats, Deliveroo, Just Eat), so consistency and standards matter. We are looking for a skilled and dependable Line Chef who takes pride in their work, leads by example, and understands the importance of food safety and teamwork.

• Prepare and cook menu items to a consistently high standard.
• Work efficiently during busy service periods.
• Maintain strict food hygiene and health & safety standards at all times.
• Wear required kitchen uniform (apron, hat, appropriate PPE) while on shift.
• Support junior kitchen staff and lead by example.
• Assist with prep, stock rotation, and kitchen cleanliness.
• Work collaboratively with front‑of‑house when needed.
• Contribute positively to a respectful and professional team culture.

• Previous experience as a line chef or similar kitchen role.
• Strong understanding of food hygiene and safety standards.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced kitchen.
• Reliability, professionalism, and a team‑first attitude.
• Willingness to follow kitchen standards and procedures consistently.

• Experience in café or brunch‑style kitchens.
• Experience working with delivery platforms.
• Leadership qualities or experience mentoring junior staff.
