Research Scientist, Clinical Research
Location: Greater London
We are currently looking for a Research Applications Officer to join our Clinical Practice Research Datalink team in the Safety and Surveillance group.
This is a full‑time, permanent opportunity located at 10 South Colonnade, Canary Wharf London, E14 4PU
. The role can only be carried out in the UK.
The Research Applications Officer supports the research applications process, provides administrative support across the Observational Research team, and serves as secretariat to review and advisory committees.
Key responsibilities include:
- Liaising with research applicants
- Coordinating the research applications review process
- Providing the secretariat function to the review and advisory committees
- Collecting, managing and reporting information and key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Highly organised with close attention to detail
- Excellent writing skills, routinely drafting coherent, comprehensive and accurate documents, reports and briefs
- Experience of providing secretariat support, including meeting coordination, minute taking and record keeping
- Capable of managing multiple tasks to a high standard within target deadlines
- Previous experience of undertaking or managing the review of research applications, protocols or manuscripts
- Method of assessment: A=Application, I=Interview, T=Test
- Behaviour Criteria: Communicating and Influencing (A,T,I);
Managing a Quality Service (A,I) - Experience Criteria: Strong writing and secretariat experience (A,T,I);
Review of research applications desirable (A,T,I) - Technical Criteria: Degree qualification or equivalent relevant work experience (A);
High computer literacy, proficient in MS Office, especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint (A,T)
