This post is full time and permanent, working 35 hours per week.
OverviewWe are seeking to appoint a research assistant to assist the Centre of Nutraceuticals research team in delivering an industry‑funded project. The project is part of the research enterprise activities at the Centre for Nutraceuticals, University of Westminster and is aimed at working towards the assessment and development of a novel nutritional supplement related to metabolic health. The project is anticipated to contribute significantly to knowledge in the field and lead to market innovation.
The postholder will be part of the Centre for Nutraceuticals, within the School of Life Sciences. The Centre for Nutraceuticals is a global first‑of‑its‑kind initiative in the area of nutraceuticals, supplements, and functional foods, acting as a catalyst for improving health and wellbeing, guided by research, innovation and partnerships with sector‑leading organisations.
Responsibilities- Assist the Centre team and work alongside the research associate and principal investigators in delivering this project.
- Conduct general research laboratory duties to ensure smooth day‑to‑day working by keeping track of consumable orders and costs.
- Assist with participant recruitment, processing participant samples, and maintaining records and documentation.
- Work in a dynamic environment within our state‑of‑the‑art facilities in Central London, supported by a multidisciplinary team of colleagues.
- Background in nutrition/sports science.
- Experience of being involved in human research trials.
Interviews will be held in the week of 26th February 2026, with the post scheduled to commence in early March 2026.
