Our client, an exciting and rapidly growing food brand, is looking for a Food Technologist to join their team in London. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate food professional to join a dynamic business that is committed to delivering high-quality products and building strong supplier and customer relationships.

The successful candidate will support the technical function, ensuring product quality, safety, and compliance across both branded and own-label ranges. Reporting to the Technical Manager, this role will involve working closely with suppliers, customers, and internal teams in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Acting as a key contact for customers on technical matters including product specifications, packaging details, questionnaires, complaints, and sample requests.
Liaising with suppliers on technical documentation, specifications, and quality-related queries.
Supporting the maintenance of the company’s Quality & Safety Management System in line with BRC standards.
Participating in supplier visits and supporting supplier technical management.
Assisting with product testing, sensory assessments, and sample handling.
Supporting label approvals and technical documentation processes.
Providing general technical administration support.
Your Experience

Ideally 2 years’+ experience in a food technologist, quality control/ assurance or similar technical role.
Degree or equivalent in Food Technology or similar.
Strong knowledge of food safety, microbiology, packaging, nutrition, allergens, and shelf-life management.
Familiarity with HACCP and BRC standards, as well as UK food legislation.
Strong attention to detail with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to build effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growing business environment.
You must have a driving license and be able to drive in Europe.
This role will require regular travel to Europe as well so you must be able to commit to this.
