Rate: £350 – £400 per day

The Role
As an Internal Quality Assurer (IQA) – Property Maintenance, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the quality of assessment and delivery across property maintenance qualifications and/or apprenticeship standards.
Key responsibilities include:
* Monitoring and supporting assessors to ensure consistent, high-quality assessment practice
* Conducting sampling, standardisation, and verification activities in line with awarding body and regulatory requirements
* Providing constructive feedback, coaching, and development support to assessment staff
* Ensuring compliance with internal IQA processes, policies, and procedures
* Supporting continuous improvement activity and contributing to audit and inspection readiness
* Working collaboratively with delivery and quality teams to uphold best practice and learner outcomes
This is a remote, freelance role, offering flexibility while maintaining professional impact.
Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will bring strong sector knowledge and a quality-driven mindset.
Essential:
* Occupational competence and industry experience in Property Maintenance or a related construction trade
* A recognised IQA qualification (TAQA, D34, V1, Level 4 Award in Internal Quality Assurance, or equivalent)
* Experience quality assuring vocational qualifications and/or apprenticeships
* A strong understanding of awarding body, EPAO, and regulatory requirements
* Excellent communication, organisation, and coaching skills
* A proactive, detail-oriented approach with a genuine commitment to quality and standards
