Position: DIAMOND SORTER (SPONSORED)

About the job DIAMOND SORTER (SPONSORED) Responsibilities

  • Examine and sort rough diamonds based on size, quality, and characteristics.
  • Use magnification tools to inspect diamonds for flaws, inclusions, and other imperfections.
  • Accurately classify diamonds into categories based on established criteria and industry standards.
  • Maintain detailed records of sorted diamonds, including grading reports and inventory logs.
  • Ensure that sorted diamonds meet quality standards and report any discrepancies.
  • Safely handle and store diamonds, ensuring security protocols are followed to prevent loss or theft.
  • Work closely with gemmologists, quality control specialists, and other team members to ensure consistency in grading and sorting.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in diamond sorting, grading, or a related field is preferred.
  • A diploma or certification in gemology is advantageous.
  • Excellent attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to use magnification tools and other equipment.
  • Understanding of diamond grading criteria and industry standards.
  • Good eyesight and manual dexterity.
  • Competitive salary: £12.00 - £25.00 per hour, reflective of experience and qualifications.

Schedule
  • Monday to Friday:
    Regular working hours.
