Quality Assurance (QA) / Clerk of Works

Responsible for quality assurance on solar farm projects across the UK.

• Establishing Quality Standards:
  Defining, negotiating, and agreeing in‑house quality procedures, standards, and specifications based on client needs, industry regulations (like ISO standards), and business goals.
• Executing Testing and Inspections:
  Performing manual or automated tests, conducting inspections, and monitoring processes to ensure compliance with defined standards and to identify defects or errors.
• Collaborating on Issue Resolution:
  Working closely with development, production, and management teams to investigate root causes of problems and ensure timely implementation of fixes and corrective actions.
• Monitoring and Reporting Metrics:
  Gathering and analysing data on defects, performance, and customer complaints to produce reports for management and identify trends for improvement.
• Construction Expertise:
  Deep understanding of building trades, materials, methods, and complex specifications.
• Legal Compliance:
  Knowledge of Building Regulations, Health & Safety laws, and contract law (JCT, NHBC, etc).
• Inspection
  
  Skills:
  
  Ability to diagnose defects, check work against drawings, and assess material quality.

• Avalid
  
  CSCScard.
• Full driving licence.
• AUTR number under CIS (Sole trader scheme).
• Legal compliance with Building Regulations, Health & Safety laws, and contract law (JCT, NHBC, etc).

• You must be happy to travel around and stay overnight occasionally. Travel and accommodation will be covered.
