The project scope includes planning, design, integration and delivery of major airfield infrastructure, buildings, systems and associated peripheral infrastructure.
Job Summary:The Quality Manager is at the heat of the programme, responsible for leading and managing all aspects of quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) across design, procurement, and construction phases. "This position is designated as part‑time telework per our global telework policy and may require at least three days of in‑person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in‑person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership."
Major Responsibilities:- Develops, maintains, and verifies implementation of the project quality assurance framework and associated program/plan, for an assigned project.
- Directs quality activities and their effective implementation, communicating with engineering, commercial, construction, administrative services, and other project personnel to ensure management goals and objectives are met.
- Reviews and oversees quality‑related procedures to ensure compliance with the quality program/plan.
- Ensures new or revised regulatory requirements are reviewed and, following appropriate change management, incorporated into the quality program/plan.
- Develops, integrates and manages the Bechtel internal audit plan and the program audit plan.
- Supervises and participates in the auditing and monitoring program to verify the effectiveness of the quality program/plan and enable the timely mitigation of technical and program/project risks.
- Drives the continuous improvement and institutionalisation of lessons process.
- Manages, and reports on, the project corrective action system.
- Represents the PMO during quality assurance audits conducted by the customer, management, regulatory agencies, and other project stakeholders.
- Leads the process for onboarding of Bechtel and customer personnel to the program quality management system.
- Requires bachelor’s or master’s degree (or international equivalent) and relevant experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and demonstrated experience integrating organisational quality systems.
- Proven ability to work within and adapt to client‑established quality frameworks and governance processes.
