O'Neill & Brennan are currently representing a well-established main contractor who are seeking an experiences Health and Safety Advisor to join their team on a data centre project in London. The role will take ownership of site-based HS&E performance, driving best practice, ensuring full compliance with legislation, and promoting a strong, proactive safety culture across the project team and supply chain.
This position plays a key role in embedding high standards of health, safety and environmental management while supporting the delivery of a complex, large-scale build.
Key Responsibilities
Implement project-specific HS&E systems and provide practical advice and support to site management and workforce.
Assist with the development, review and maintenance of HS&E policies, procedures, risk assessments and method statements.
Carry out regular site inspections, audits and monitoring activities, producing clear reports and tracking corrective actions.
Support risk identification processes and lead or assist with accident, incident and near-miss investigations.
Identify training requirements and deliver toolbox talks, inductions and targeted HS&E training sessions.
Monitor subcontractor compliance with HS&E standards and promote consistent performance across all trades.
Work closely with site teams, clients and external stakeholders to maintain high safety standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Candidate Requirements
NEBOSH Construction or related qualification
Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar HS&E role on large construction projects
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
High attention to detail with a proactive and solutions-focused approach.
Confident communicator capable of building strong working relationships at all levels.
Ability to work independently and take ownership of HS&E performance on site.
