This proudly independent Veterinary practice who welcome pets of all shapes and sizes, whether they come with fur, beaks, scales, or feathers are looking for a 3rd Vet Surgeon to join their expanding team.
A truly great opportunity to join this dynamic, professional team as a small animal Veterinary Surgeon and be part of their growth. You will be working alongside 3 other experienced Vets, one with RCVS Advanced Practitioner status in Small Animal Surgery and another with degrees in veterinary medicine and zoology.
The practice is based in a very popular and affluent residential area of South West London anchored by its High Street, which has modern Asian and European dining, as well as the weekly Street Markets. Cocktail bars with street-facing patios, wood-panelled pubs, with a laid-back vibe. There is a large public park with jogging paths and playgrounds - the perfect location to suit all interests.
The practice is well equipped with state-of-the-art operating theatres, 3 consult rooms, imaging suite, in house IDEXX Lab, separate dog and cat wards and waiting areas, ultrasound, digital x-ray, ortho equipment and much more.
Responsibilities- Join an expanding team as a 3rd Veterinary Surgeon for small animals.
- Work alongside 3 other experienced Vets, including team members with advanced qualifications.
- Provide care as part of first opinion practice across all areas of small animal medicine and surgery.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and clients, discuss and share complicated cases, and seek help when needed.
- Engage with exotics as needed; interest or basic knowledge of exotics is advantageous or willingness to learn.
- At least 7 years of experience as a Veterinary Surgeon.
- Confident in all areas of first opinion practice.
- Excellent communication and strong teamwork skills.
- Interest or basic knowledge of exotics is advantageous or willingness to learn.
- Salary up to £80,000 dependent on experience
- 6 weeks annual leave and your birthday off
- No Bank holidays worked
- RCVS/ VDS
- £1500 towards CPD
