Night Veterinary Surgeon – South East London

Independent, purpose-built, gold standard cat‑only clinic located in a hip neighbourhood of South East London where history meets urban cool.

We have state‑of‑the‑art equipment, including Digital Radiography, Ultrasound, Endoscopy, Bair Hugger™ technology, and purpose‑designed operating theatres. We specialise in feline ophthalmology, internal medicine (cardiology, diagnostic imaging), and offer round‑the‑clock emergency & inpatient care.

Job Overview

Night Veterinary Surgeon, part‑time, 7 nights on / 14 nights off rota, 13‑hour weekday shifts and 14‑hour weekend/Bank holiday shifts.

Responsibilities
  • Provide medicine and inpatient management for feline patients.
  • Handle non‑routine emergency procedures such as C‑sections and exploratory GI surgery.
  • Collaborate with day team to ensure seamless, gold‑standard healthcare.
  • Work with dedicated RVN, VCA until 9:30 pm Monday‑Friday.
  • Maintain high quality care within a manageable workload (average 3 inpatients).
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years post‑qualification experience in ECC.
  • Strong passion for feline medicine.
  • Medical and surgical competence for emergency procedures.
Rota
  • 7 nights on, 14 nights off.
  • 13‑hour weekday shifts; 14‑hour weekend/bank holiday shifts.
