Deputy Ward Manager - T2 Rainbow Ward

We are seeking to appoint dynamic and enthusiastic candidates to the role of Deputy Ward Manager - T2 Rainbow Ward to cover a period of Maternity Leave within the team. This post is offered part time at 32x hours per week.

The role will require the candidate to be able to make leadership decisions autonomously and as a part of the wider nursing leadership team, providing a standard of holistic family centred care to all children and their families.

The successful candidate will require the ability to foster and promote family centre care and establish good relationships with all patients, and their parents/carers, and provide care in a timely manner across the service. They are required to exhibit excellent communication skills and be able to work collaboratively with all staffing disciplines to ensure the smooth flow of patient care.

The post holder will be responsible to take ownership of the service in the absence of the Ward Manager, managing and supporting all junior staffing to utilise and maintain standards of care through the correct undertaking of policies and procedures, and must be flexible in their approach to the clinical areas and provide cover as needed for any specified areas.

North Mid is part of North Central London integrated care system – consisting of the NHS and Local authority organisations in Camden, Islington, Barnet, Enfield and Haringey. As with other ICs’s, we are working increasingly closely with partners and indeed many of our financial and performance objectives are measured at this system level. Whilst all organisations remain as standalone, statutory bodies we have an IC infrastructure for making shared decisions and agreeing shared approaches.
