Clinical Charge Nurse

Lambeth Inpatient wards are excited to offer opportunities for staff who would like to work as Clinical Charge Nurses.

• Luther King Ward – 18 male beds
• Florence Ward – 15 female beds

We are looking for dynamic and enthusiastic candidates, with a commitment to delivering high standards of care. The post holder will deliver high quality care including robust assessments of need and risk, evidence based interventions and liaison with other services in line with Trust policies and the registration body's code of professional conduct. It is essential that you can understand and manage risk effectively and produce collaborative care plans with service users and carers.

• Deliver high quality safe nursing care, ensuring consistently high standards of practice and clinical excellence that comply with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) code of professional conduct.
• Promote and develop clinical leadership and clinical practice, and be a positive role model to junior members of the team through the practice of evidence-based care.
• Support professional development through clinical appraisal and supervision and contribute to the ongoing educational programme for staff, fostering a positive learning environment.
• Lead a team of nursing staff in the delivery of high quality evidence-based practice, ensuring that regular supervision and appraisal take place.
• Carry out nursing procedures to a standard that ensures safe and effective care, and complies with the NMC Code of Professional Conduct.
• Place the needs of service users at the centre of care delivery.

Your professional and personal development will include further postgraduate study and you will be encouraged and supported by your line manager to undertake Master’s programmes.
