Join Our Acute Medical Unit at The Royal Alexandra Hospital, PaisleyShift Pattern - 12 hour shifts, rotational days and nights Mon‑Sun.
We are seeking highly motivated and passionate Registered Nurses to join our Acute Medical Unit (AMU). The AMU is a fast‑paced, dynamic environment that provides immediate care for patients admitted directly from the Emergency Department with acute medical needs. This unit offers a high turnover of patients, ensuring timely transfer to appropriate specialties while delivering exceptional standards of care.
As a receiving unit for a broad range of conditions, the AMU provides outstanding opportunities to develop both general and specialist nursing skills across multiple disciplines. You will benefit from strong leadership and ongoing professional development, supported by our dedicated Practice Educator. In addition, we offer rotational experience within our Medical Assessment Unit (MAU), which manages patients referred directly by GPs.
This rotation will further enhance your skills in triage and medical assessment, broadening your clinical expertise.
