Job Summary
We are recruiting for a Registered Nurse in the John Bush Supportive Unit that shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.
Main DutiesThe registered nurse will provide a high-quality service of care to patients and significant others, promote a good learning environment, support the Senior Nurse for Chemotherapy / Immunotherapy Services and other team members. The nurse will be aware of resource management, assist in the safe administration of cytotoxic chemotherapy and monoclonal antibodies within oncology and haematology, and provide ongoing support to patients and carers.
The post holder will ensure that nursing care within the John Bush Supportive Unit is of a high standard in accordance with hospital policies, procedures and standards, and will contribute to the general improvement of services.

Person Specification Qualification / Training- Essential:
- Registered Nurse on part 1, part 2 or part 12 of the NMC register
- In possession of Oncology or Haematology Care modules
- SACT accredited course or competencies
- Desirable:
- BSc / MSc
- Counselling Skills
- Mentorship or teaching course

- Proven experience at Band 5 in Oncology / Haematology
- Working with learners
- Handling distressed patients, carers and other staff members
