Staff Nurse – Surgical Ward

Location: The Wellington Hospital (NW8 9LE
), London

Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Sunday, flexible shifts including long days, nights, and weekends based on internal rotation.

Contract: Permanent

Salary: Competitive depending on experience plus 9% shift allowance.

We’re looking for a Staff Nurse to join our Surgical Inpatients team at the Wellington Hospital, currently rated “Good” by the CQC. The unit provides care for pre‑ and post‑operative patients across a full range of specialities: plastics and breast surgeries, colorectal, gynaecology, bariatric, ENT, upper GI, urology, vascular & general surgery.

As the Staff Nurse, you will plan, deliver and evaluate high standards of nursing care whilst working within a multidisciplinary team, supervising and directing junior staff as well as temporary staff. You’ll demonstrate good clinical practice at all times, be accountable for your actions and contribute to the setting of clinical standards, policies and procedures, research‑based care and other practice development initiatives.

• Registered Nurse Level 1
• NMC Registration
• Experience as a qualified nurse in a Surgical ward is essential
• Basic Life Support
