Emergency Sister​/Charge Nurse - Band 6

Overview

The Royal London Emergency Department is looking for a forward thinking, highly motivated Sister/Charge Nurse to join our team within a busy and rewarding Major Trauma Centre.

Barts Health is one of the largest NHS Trusts in the UK. We operate three Emergency Departments, including the Royal London Hospital, as part of a major trauma centre and hyper-acute stroke unit providing urgent specialist treatment to North-East London and beyond. We work with our research colleagues to integrate pioneering care and develop new pathways and services to provide efficient, patient‑centred emergency medicine.

• Deliver high quality clinical care and maintain high standards of nursing care within the current service.
• Take charge of the A&E department for shifts on a rolling rota with the support of a Senior Sister/Charge Nurse.
• Be actively involved in shaping the future of the Royal London Emergency Department and develop clinical, management and leadership skills.
• Participate in exciting secondment opportunities including the Physician Response Unit and support nurse champions to lead in areas of care and quality improvement projects.

• Relevant Emergency Department experience and emergency care qualification.
• Commitment to patient care and staff development with a desire to promote change and development within an energized team.
