The Market-Based Programming Advisor for the PRO-WASH & SCALE Award will focus on implementing market-based programming approaches across fragile and emergency contexts. This role involves collaboration across multiple countries and agencies, focusing on areas such as agriculture, livelihoods, and WASH as part of a USAID-funded capacity strengthening and learning program. The Advisor will organize training events, document best practices, and adapt tools to support partners in applying market-based programming techniques.
Additionally, the advisor will contribute to learning events and ensure dissemination of resources and lessons learned during the program’s final phases.
- Lead PWS’ markets-related work by supporting the application of market-based programming approaches.
- Organize and facilitate remote and in-person training and learning events.
- Document and share market-based programming best practices.
- Develop and adapt tools and guidance to respond to partner needs.
- Contribute to communities of practice and engage with pertinent networks and stakeholders.
- Support culmination learning events to ensure effective dissemination of program resources.
- 5+ years of experience in market-based programming in fragile and emergency contexts.
- Strong familiarity with emergency food security programs and networks.
- Experience in designing and implementing market-based programs in rural and emergency contexts.
- Knowledgeable in agricultural markets with experience in emergency WASH and nutrition as a plus.
- Exceptional facilitation and training skills, with experience in curricula design.
- Ability to collaborate across multiple programs, partners, and countries.
- Proficiency in English required;
French preferred.
