Chair Board of Trustees - Volunteer

Lead an award-winning education charity as Chair of Trustees. Use your leadership skills and experience to shape strategy, support the CEO, and help improve outcomes for children and young people.

Play a vital role in helping Ignite Hubs deliver high-quality, inclusive education to children and young people who need it most. We work particularly with girls, those from disadvantaged backgrounds, and those from underrepresented backgrounds. Your contribution directly supports educational equity and helps young people develop skills critical to future learning and opportunities.

We are looking for an experienced professional who is passionate about education and improving outcomes for children and young people. This role is best suited to someone based in London or within easy reach of London, as Ignite Hubs is London-based and some meetings and events are held in person. As a small and ambitious charity, we are looking for a Chair who is willing to be hands‑on where and when needed.

As Chair of Trustees, you will lead the Board, ensure strong governance, and work closely with the CEO to guide Ignite Hubs’ strategy and growth. You will chair Board meetings, support trustees, provide oversight and challenge, and act as an ambassador for the charity. This is a hands‑on leadership role within a small, growing organisation.
