Events and Engagement Officer

Prospectus is excited to be working with our client to help them recruit for an Events and Engagement Officer to join their team. The organization is an independent charity providing crucial support to music professionals across the UK whose lives have been impacted by physical or mental ill‑health. They support individuals throughout their careers and into retirement and, in the last five years, have distributed over 3,500 grants totaling more than £3.6 million.

The charity is a membership organisation with over 2,000 members, all of whom are professionally active in the world of music or retired, including notable musicians from across the UK music sector.

This role is offered on a three‑year flexible contract basis, pays a salary of £35,000 per annum, and offers flexible hybrid working arrangements at the London office.

• Support the expansion of the charity’s varied events programme, including member events, cultivation opportunities and health & well‑being activities.
• Work alongside the Head of Development and Head of Membership & Communications in planning and delivering events for varied audiences.
• Create and maintain stakeholder records within the organisation’s systems, ensuring information remains accurate and up to date at all times.
• Develop the charity’s stakeholder relationships so that everyone engaging with the organisation has a positive experience and a clear understanding of our aims.

• Demonstrable experience in planning and delivering events for varied audiences.
• Demonstrable experience managing social media channels and increasing engagement using online communications software.
• Experience working in an arts or membership organisation and an interest in music and the arts.
