Associate Director - Operations - Volunteer

The SNF is looking for an experienced volunteer leader to take ownership of our operations, people structure and governance as we grow.

This is a senior volunteer role, ideal for someone who enjoys building practical systems, and creating a strong foundation.

This role will make sure SNF is stable, organised and scalable
, ensuring we don’t rely on informal processes or individual knowledge.

You’ll help SNF operate professionally, protect its people, and deliver mentoring support more effectively.

• Ops leadership, HR, governance, compliance, or running teams/volunteers
• Comfortable building structure in a growing organisation
• Strong written communication (policies and guidance)
• Calm, consistent, and fair leadership style

• Lead and improve SNF’s ways of working (clear processes, handovers, decision-making)
• Support volunteer and role management

• Help maintain and improve core governance and compliance documents such as
  • volunteer policies / code of conduct
  • data protection / GDPR working practices
