Chair of Trustees - Volunteer

We are seeking an experienced Chair of Trustees to provide strategic leadership, strengthen governance and champion our vision. This is a senior voluntary role for someone who understands charity governance, values collaboration and wants to make a lasting impact on the lives of young people.

This is more than a governance role - it’s a chance to influence the future of a respected London youth charity at a pivotal time. Your leadership will help the Avenues deliver award-winning programmes and create opportunities for young people to succeed.

• Proven leadership and board governance experience.
• Strategic thinker with financial and organisational acumen.
• Excellent communication and ability to inspire confidence.
• Commitment to youth empowerment, inclusion and community engagement.

Experience in charity boards, fundraising, or the youth sector is desirable.

• Lead the Board to ensure strong governance and compliance with charity law.
• Partner with the Chief Executive to shape strategy and drive performance.
• Oversee financial sustainability and risk management.
• Act as an ambassador for Avenues - building relationships with funders, partners and stakeholders.
