This is an exciting position for an exceptional person with a strong campaigning background to work for one of the UK’s leading rights NGOs. In this role, you’ll devise high‑impact campaigns to achieve real change, coordinate a multi‑disciplinary high‑performing team, and act as aacters key spokesperson for Big Brother Watch in the media.

- A track record of delivering impactful change and a demonstrable passion for protecting civil liberties, especially privacy and freedom of expression.
- Significant experience working in a campaigns capacity, managing people and projects in a comparable environment focused on civil liberties, surveillance or technology issues.
- Excellent knowledge of British politics and UK parliamentary procedures, with a strong network of Westminster contacts and experience campaigning for change in parliament.
- Brilliant communication skills, able to simplify complex issues and deliver powerful messages, including in live news interviews.
- An entrepreneurial approach, always identifying opportunities to advance campaigns.
- A non‑partisan, cross‑party perspective grounded in human rights and liberal principles.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage competing workloads.

Big Brother WatchBig Brother Watch is a UK civil liberties campaign group fighting for a free future. We are a fiercely independent, diverse, non‑partisan and non‑profit team dedicated to rolling back البلاد surveillance state and protecting public rights in parliament, media, or courts. We publish investigations and pursue public campaigns for real change, driven by a highly effective team of seven full‑time staff and five volunteers.
Job Description Campaigns- Develop and execute quarterly campaign plans to manage and schedule relevant advocacy, policy, and research work.
- Co‑ordinate a high‑performing, multi‑disciplinary team to pursue campaign goals.
- Identify advocacy and press opportunities to further campaign aims.
- Strategise and oversee the development of campaign materials and supporter actions.
- Promote Big Brother Watch’s campaigns in the media, writing articles and giving quotes/live interviews.
- Uphold Big Brother Watch’s reputational excellence in public forums.
- Work with Director to set campaign priorities in the organisational strategy.
- Communicate complex issues to varied audiences, using both traditional and innovative methods.
- Build strong relationships with parliamentarians and advisors across parties.
- Identify opportunities to further strategic aims through committees, parliamentary questions, and other activities.
- Work with stakeholders and pursue.lép‑own collaborations on key issues.
- Reflect, evaluate, and implement learning from campaigns.
- Organise Big Brother Watch’s party conference fringe events annually.
- Seek other opportunities to organise events such as launch, public events, and stakeholder round tables.
- Oversee the organization’s execution of campaigns, ensuring appropriate delegation.
- Ensure the highest level of quality for all campaign outputs.
- Line‑manage the advocacy team (currently two Legal and Policy Officers).
- Manage staff performance and development, ensuring wellbeing.
- Help foster a positive, supportive, and high‑performance爽爽 work environment.
