Trafalgar Tickets for our owned/managed venue portfolio (Trafalgar Theatres) as well as our West End Agency business, comprising of London Theatre Direct and Stage Door. Trafalgar Ticketing is responsible for e‑commerce, digital marketing, technology & product, and ticketing and customer operations across all our brands, with sales in excess of 4 million tickets per annum.
London Theatre Direct was founded in 1999 and acquired by TE in 2019. It is the UK’s premier ticketing and distribution company for live theatre inventory. In 2022, Stage Door was acquired to further strengthen our B2C reach. London Theatre Direct continues to deliver valuable distribution and sales to London’s West End.
Trafalgar Tickets was created in 2021 with the primary objective of creating a consumer ticketing brand for our venues (Trafalgar Theatres).
ABOUT THIS ROLETrafalgar Tickets is seeking a proactive Deputy Social Media & Content Manager (Venues) to manage the day-to-day responsibility for the social media and content channels for Trafalgar Theatres, through the support of the Venue Content Executives. The role holder will help lead the delivery of engaging, on‑brand content across our primary theatre venues. This role is ideal for someone with strong digital and social media experience who thrives in a fast‑paced and collaborative environment and is looking to develop their management and leadership skills.
MAINRESPONSIBILITIES
- Line‑manage and support the Venue Content Executives, overseeing their day‑to‑day workload and helping to develop their skills.
- Drive engagement and impressions through the delivery of content creation, including written content and social media strategy across a variety of social channels, community management and campaign activations.
- Grow audience reach, utilising various content formats, reviewing and refining.
- Analyse and create content that reflects trends and amplifies across channels to drive engagement.
- Creation of reporting and insights to optimise engagement and performance on content output.
- Support the Social Media and Content Manager in the delivery of the Venue’s social media strategy.
- Liaise with the Campaigns Team for Venues to plan, execute, report and analyse across social and content activity.
- Review and approve Content Executive content, ensuring it aligns with brand tone, campaign goals, and platform best practices.
- Provide constructive feedback and guidance to maintain a high standard of quality and consistency.
- Set, maintain and monitor achievable objectives and targets for the Content Executives.
- Oversee and support the Content Executives in updating and maintaining website content via Contentful, ensuring accuracy and consistency across primary venues.
- Ensure regional variations and sensitivities are reflected in content when promoting national tours or local programming.
- Liaise and communicate regularly with the Social Media and Content Manager, ensuring strategy awareness and understanding of campaign delivery.
- Any ad hoc duties as and when required.
- You are a creative and driven professional with natural and proven commercial acumen. You love to innovate and develop creative content and inspire others within the team to innovate and develop, to drive engagement and revenue.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with calm and clarity.
- Strong understanding of platform best practices across Instagram, Facebook, X and You Tube.
- You have strong communication and collaboration skills, with a knack for working effectively with diverse teams and external stakeholders of all levels.
- Have strong experience in working as part of a team and developing others, with a desire to step into a management role
