Location: Greater London

We're launching a new investment app in the UK market and need a hands-on Growth & Performance Marketing Manager who can build the strategy AND execute it. You'll be responsible for acquiring 2,000 new users per month while establishing our brand from the ground up. This is a roll-up-your-sleeves role where you'll be in the trenches daily - setting up campaigns, optimizing performance, analyzing data, and iterating fast.

You'll work closely with our social media specialist who handles content creation and campaign execution on social channels.

About the Role

Set up, launch, and manage paid campaigns across Google Ads, Meta, You Tube, and other platforms.

Responsibilities
  • Brief the social media team on creative requirements, messaging angles, and testing priorities for campaign assets
  • Monitor campaign performance daily and make real-time optimizations to hit the 2,000 user/month target
  • Set up tracking pixels, UTM parameters, and attribution models to measure what's working
  • Build and optimize conversion funnels from ad click to app download to first investment
  • Respond to performance dips immediately with testing and iteration
  • Design and test landing pages to maximize conversion rates
  • Develop the overall growth strategy and quarterly roadmap, but stay flexible and data-driven
  • Run rapid experiments across channels, audiences, targeting, and messaging frameworks
  • Identify and test new acquisition channels before competitors (finance You Tubers, podcasts, niche communities, display networks)
  • Build referral mechanics, waitlist campaigns, and viral features into the product experience
  • Plan and execute the launch campaign, including pre-launch acquisition strategy
  • Determine budget allocation across channels based on performance data
  • Identify and negotiate partnerships with affiliates, finance influencers, and content creators
  • Pitch journalists and secure coverage in UK finance and tech publications
  • Develop co-marketing opportunities with complementary brands
  • Explore partnership channels like comparison sites, finance apps, and community platforms
  • Manage influencer relationships and performance-based partnerships
  • Build dashboards in Google Analytics or similar tools to track all acquisition metrics
  • Track CAC, LTV, conversion rates, retention cohorts, and channel performance
  • Report weekly on progress toward the 2,000-user target with insights and action plans
  • Conduct deep-dive analysis to identify drop-off points in the funnel and implement fixes
  • Run A/B tests on targeting, bidding strategies, landing pages, and user flows
  • Provide data-driven briefs to the social media person on what creatives/messaging are performing
  • Work with the larger marketing team to align on campaign messaging, creative testing roadmap, and content priorities
  • Partner with product to ensure a smooth onboarding experience that converts and to build growth features
  • Collaborate with compliance to ensure all marketing adheres to FCA regulations
  • Coordinate with engineering on tracking implementation and technical requirements
Qualifications

Have 4-6 years of hands-on growth marketing experience, preferably launching a consumer app or fintech product.

Required Skills
  • Can confidently set up and optimize campaigns in Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, and other platforms yourself
  • Have launched products or features from scratch and hit aggressive user acquisition targets
  • Are highly analytical—you love digging into data, finding insights, and making decisions based on evidence
  • Excel at briefing creatives and giving clear, actionable feedback on campaign assets
  • Understand UK financial services marketing and FCA compliance requirements
  • Are comfortable with tools like Google Analytics, Amplitude/Mixpanel, landing page builders (Webflow/Framer/Unbounce), CRM platforms
  • Have experience with app marketing, ASO, and mobile attribution (Apps Flyer, Adjust, Branch)

  • Experience with programmatic advertising and DSPs
  • Understanding of investor psychology and barriers to entry for new investors
  • SEO knowledge for organic acquisition channels
