The Role

As Numan's Social Media Lead, you'll be responsible for a step‑change in our approach. Taking us from good to standout across our social platforms. Your mission is to make Numan one of the top health brands on social media in the UK, accelerating our channel growth and engagement through strategic thinking and creative excellence. You'll own and lead Numan's social media strategy, working closely with our Chief Creative Officer, Brand Director, and agency partners to create content that entertains, educates, and builds trust with our audience.

The Team

You'll report into our Brand Director, managing external agency partners and collaborate across brand, content, paid social and design teams to deliver best‑in‑class creative work. You'll have autonomy to shape the social function and budget, to work with agencies and freelancers to bring your vision to life.

You'll be:
Owning Numan’s Social Strategy
  • Developing and leading Numan's social media strategy across Instagram, Facebook, Linked In, You Tube, and Tik Tok
  • Setting KPIs and growth targets for follower growth, engagement, and brand awareness
  • Using social listening to identify trends, insights, and opportunities that inform both brand and product strategy
  • Identifying and testing emerging platforms and subcultures worth exploring (e.g., Reddit, new social channels)
Creating Powerful Content & Community
  • Develop engaging, shareable content that strengthens Numan’s social voice.
  • Make Numan interesting: give people a reason to follow, engage, and come back.
  • Build a vibrant community and engage directly with our audience.
  • Be our social brand guardian: ensuring content is authentic, native, and true to our tone of voice.
  • Grow and optimise our You Tube presence with SEO in mind; aim for Health Shelf placement.
  • Support broader content needs, from paid social to campaigns and shoots.
Leading Creative Excellence & Campaign Execution
  • Partnering with our Chief Creative Officer and Brand Director to develop and brief social‑first campaigns
  • Managing and motivating agency partners to deliver high‑quality, on‑brand content that drives engagement
  • Aligning social activity with broader brand, paid social, and PR initiatives to maximize campaign impact
  • Acting as brand guardian, ensuring all content is authentic, platform‑native, and true to Numan's voice
  • Championing bold creative ideas and give people a reason to follow, engage, and come back
Driving Performance & Optimisation
  • Reporting weekly on performance with actionable insights and strategic recommendations
  • Balancing paid and organic content strategies, managing budgets to optimise growth
  • Monitoring competitor activity, cultural moments, and platform changes to stay ahead
  • Developing You Tube optimisation strategy with SEO in mind to achieve Health Shelf placement
  • Conducting ongoing social listening across competitors, categories, and adjacent spaces
We're looking for someone who:
  • Has 8+ years experience developing and executing social media strategies for consumer brands (health, wellness, or lifestyle preferred)
  • Can demonstrate a proven track record of significantly growing social channels and engagement with measurable results
  • Brings strong strategic thinking with the ability to translate business goals into compelling social‑first campaigns
