PR & Communications Manager - Beauty & Wellness - temp/part-time (2-4 days a week)

We’re looking for a dynamic PR & Communications Manager to lead editorial content, media relations, thought leadership and social strategy during a maternity cover period. This role suits someone who can blend strategic thinking with exceptional writing, trend awareness and confident stakeholder management. Experience from beauty, wellness, tech and luxury is a particular interest to our client and you will be working both agency side and inhouse.

This temporary role is 4 days a week until April and may then be 2-4 days a week until October/November so flexibility is key. Day rate will be up to £180.

• Lead monthly newsletters, social calendars and Linked In content for senior leadership.
• Write thought‑leadership articles, expert commentary and opinion pieces.
• Produce website copy and case studies aligned with positioning.

• Pitch press releases, expert insights and trend‑led stories to trade, business, design and innovation media.
• Build and maintain relationships with journalists, editors and analysts.
• Draft press releases for client work, launches and strategic announcements.

• Monitor beauty, wellness, luxury, tech and consumer trends.
• Translate insights into PR angles, social content and leadership commentary.
• Lead trend reports and collaborate with strategy/design teams.

• Develop content around industry events and client activations.
• Support senior leadership with panels, research and messaging.
• Ensure narrative consistency across teams and projects.

• Own Linked In and Instagram content planning, copywriting and asset direction.
• Translate complex innovation into clear, compelling messaging.

• Deliver monthly performance reports across social, PR and thought leadership.
• Maintain organised libraries of media lists, messaging frameworks, trend resources and assets.

• A strong writer with excellent editorial judgement.
• Experienced in PR, content and social within beauty, luxury, retail or tech.
• Insight‑driven, proactive and comfortable managing multiple work streams.
• Skilled at turning trends and technical topics into engaging narratives.
