VC INNOVATIONS is a marketing services, digital media and events business that designs and builds communities, content and experiences for innovation industries, as well as optimising marketing infrastructure and creating demand generation campaigns.

Key responsibilities

Campaign planning & activation
  • Develop and deliver multi-channel campaigns to acquire, engage and nurture event attendees as well as demand generation campaigns for a growing portfolio with the support and guidance of the Head of Marketing.
  • Collaborate with the Content and Portfolio Lead to develop compelling copy for email, landing pages and event websites.
  • Work with the Content and Sales teams to define target personas and data for audience development purposes.
  • As part of the marketing team you will have the opportunity to shape the broader event marketing strategy with input on processes, systems, channels, partnerships and best practice.
  • Track the success of campaigns through robust reporting on KPIs and campaign metrics and using this data to inform on future marketing decisions.
  • Work with Graphic Designer and Videographer to produce marketing assets with a consistent look and feel including social cards, email banners, report designs and video assets for promotional purposes.
  • Be responsible for the continual monitoring, refreshing and rebuilding of data through a variety of data sources to ensure campaigns are reaching the right people at the right time.
  • Creating dynamic lead generation campaigns to attract and begin conversations with potential clients.
  • Ensure brand consistency across all marketing activity.
  • Working with the content team to devise campaign messaging.
  • Audit and optimise database with structured segmentation.
Website management, social media management, SEO & PPC
  • Manage event and portfolio websites with content changes and optimise through SEO.
  • Manage digital and social media platforms.
  • Monitoring and continually improving organic and paid search results in order to increase web traffic.
Relationship management
  • Manage all stakeholder, third party media and PR relationships devising innovative ways to increase measurable value for the business.
  • Monitor relationships with existing customers through CRM and marketing automation systems, and make recommendations.
  • Collaborate with other teams across the business to optimise campaign success.
Data analytics & monitoring
  • Persona development and data building.
  • Deliver subscriber and lead-generation conversions.
  • Set marketing goals and KPIs.
  • Monitor, report and present detailed analysis on effectiveness of marketing campaigns including conversion rates, web analytics, lead source.
  • Continuous testing of marketing activity to improve performance and maximise results.

About you

A marketer, with experience of campaign/project management preferably in an event marketing setting. You’ll have previously created digital and social media marketing campaigns and have an understanding of data management and insight analysis reporting. You are a strong communicator, who can work autonomously within their role whilst collaborating with internal teams to maximise marketing’s effectiveness.

  • Highly organised and process driven with good attention to detail and the ability to work to tight deadlines under pressure.
  • Proven work experience as a Senior Marketing Executive or Marketing Manager preferably within B2B events.
  • Excellent understanding of direct marketing and digital marketing concepts, channels and best practices.
  • Uses data to inform and optimise marketing campaigns.
  • Demonstrable experience with successful marketing campaigns and digital technologies (e.g. digital advertising, social media, email marketing, SEO).
  • You’ll have experience of using CRM systems, marketing automation software, CMS system such as Word Press and Google Analytics.
